NIAGARA FALLS AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE-- New York Army National Guard Soldiers assigned to the 427th Brigade Support Battalion prepare to go on duty as one of four New York National Guard Initial Response Forces (IRF) stood up to assist local officials as artic cold and driving snow descend on the Buffalo, NY area on Tuesday, Jan. 7. At the Direction of Governor Andrew Cuomo the New York Army and Air National Guard mobilized more than 260 Soldiers and Airmen and had another 100 on standby.
