So large are the grains and so small the cob, that in an ear broken in half, a single grain will almost cover the cob sec- tion, this can be done with no other variety. It is a vigorous grower, ears of fair size, ten rows and grains pure white—but as a variety for a main crop, either for quality or yield, it is no comparison to Buist's White Snow- flake. Cloud who was a prom- inent Chester County farmer. It has taken first premium where- ever it has been exhibited. It has a fine, rich appearance, weighs well, starts early and with a strong stalk as soon as it comes out of the ground; grows vigorously, although the stalks only range from seven to nine feet in height. It with- stands severe droughts to a re- markable degree. Ears set low, are of large size, well filled, very deep grained; sixty to sev- enty ears will yield a bushel of shelled corn.
