The postero-ventral corner is strongly rounded, and the right asymmetrical gland is at the posterior end of the ventral margin, rather than at the ventral end of the posterior margin, as it is in C. elegans (compare Figs. 16a and 14a and b). C. procera also differs from C. elegans in ventral view, in that it has a shorter, broader rostrum, whereas C. elemns is slim in ventral view. The capitulum of the female frontal organ is pointed, with some spinules on the ventral surface (Fig. 17a); in the male it is rounded at the tip and has two rows of long fine hairs on the ventral surface (Fig. 17b, c).
