The edition in the possession of the Rijksmuseum was published in Strasbourg by Bernhard Jobin between 1593 (dating title page Liber I), 1594 (dating title page Liber II) and 1595 (date of the impression on the last page). The accompanying text in Latin describes the names and relationships of the ornaments. The first book (Liber I) misses two prints with the numbering 36 and 37, but these have probably never been part of the complete edition. The book was published in changing composition until 1647.
