The grave of Sergeant Jean Bouin, French soldier, France, World War I, 1915. Jean Bouin (1888-1914) was a French athlete. He competed at the 1908 Summer Olympics in London and at the 1912 Games in Stockholm, where he won a silver medal in the 5000 metres. A sergeant in the French Army in World War I, he was killed near Saint-Michel, Marne.
