This mixture of habitats provides the home for 11 frog species, two crocodilians, eight turtles, ten lizards, and 24 snakes. A checklist documents species occurrences and habitat preferences; species accounts provide natural history observations for selected species of the park's herpetofauna. Key Words: Nepal, Amphibia, Salientia, Reptilia, Crocodylia, Testudines, Lacertilia, Serpentes, checklist, natural history. FIG. 1. Map of Royal Chitwan National Park.
