Northern’s “new” flexi unit trains entered revenue earning service on 17th May 2021, this one has just departed from Parbold station in Lancashire.
Cw 7607 769424 2K82 leaves Parbold After long delays Northern’s “new” flexi trains have entered passenger carrying service on the line from and to Southport from the Manchester area. This was the second revenue earning service from Southport bound for Alderley Edge, seen leaving Parbold. This was hrs departure from Southport and is leaving Parbold at on a misty May morning. These are electric multiple units that have been moved up from the south of the country and been reengineered with a diesel engine added to the electrical capability of the train.
