Detail of the Fountain of Ahmed III (3rd) at Sultanamet, Istanbul, Turkey. It is the most beautiful sample of Turkish Rococo styling and was built in 1729. It was constructed by Mimar Ahmed Aga on the order of Ahmed 3rd following the recommendation of Nevsehirli Damat Ibrahim Pasha replacing a Byzantine fountain named Perayton. The fountain is to the rear of the Hagia Sophia Museum.
