The Marble Hall, Kenwood House, Hampstead, London, 1989. Room with circular ceiling and balcony above. The ornate moulding is decorated in blue and white, with paintings on either side of the door through which can be seen marble columns and an arched window beyond. The Marble Hall at Kenwood House contains one of the most important collections of paintings ever given to the nation, including works by Rembrandt, Vermeer, Turner, Gainsborough and Reynolds. The house and collection were bequeathed by the first Earl of Iveagh.
