Extensively grown near the large markets, where its high price early in the season is a great inducement to market gardeners to under- take to produce an early crop. For sow in February or March, in boxes or pots, and place near a window or in a hot bed. When about two inches high, prick them out singly in small pots, and nurse carefully in frames, and when the danger of frost is past, plant them out in a sheltered situation, where they may have the full influence of the sun.
