Oxfordshire, England - 26 August 2020; no people in view. I love electricity pylons; I find their abstract, gaunt shapes endlessly fascinating. And here is a new viewpoint - the shadow of a giant pylon on a wheat field in Upper Radley Village, counter pointed with my own shadow. Three weeks ago, I stood at this spot, and the fields were full of life, packed with ripe plants ready for harvesting. But now, the seasons have moved on - the crop has been harvested, and the field raked; as a result it now looks more like the surface of Mars!
