Bluewater shopping centre, UK, aerial image. This is an out of town shopping centre in Greenhithe in Kent. It opened in March 1999 and has since attracted around 27 million visitors per year. The main triangular building containing the shops is surrounded by parking space for some 13,000 cars. Bluewater was built on the site of an old chalk quarry.
