Anemones by plastic bottle on seabed. Berried anemone (Alicia mirabilis) attached to a large discarded plastic water bottle (left) on the seabed, with a Cerianthus anemone at right. Such waste can have a severe long-term effect on the marine environment, but can also provide habitats and shelter for a variety of marine organisms.
