Application.—The patient should place the fingers ofthe hand of the affected side on the opposite shoulder; theinitial end of the roller should be placed on the body ofthe scapula of the sound side and secured by a turn madeby carrying the bandage over the shoulder of the affectedside, near its outer portion, then conducting it downwardover the outer and posterior surface of the arm of the sameside, behind the point of the elbow, and obliquely acrossthe front of the chest to the axilla of the opposite side,thence to the point of starting.
