Venus and Cupid at play

This sculpture was created by Shane Johnstone, an artist local to Morecambe, and is known locally as Venus and Cupid. It suggests playfulness, or the exuberance of youth, and is made from tiny mosaic coloured pieces that glitter in the sunshine. It is located across from Happy Mount Park, overlooking Morecambe Bay. A sense of movement and fun is achieved by shooting from a low angle with a wide-angle lens.
