The ruins in the complex are said to include a former palace (qasr), a mosque, reservoir with eight cisterns, an agricultural enclosure and several houses located 2 km from the bathhouse complex of Hammam Assarah. Originally Roman, it was rebuilt during the Umayyad period when it was elaborately decorated in mosaics, carved stucco, and frescos . The inscriptions within the ruins are mainly in Greek although some Roman characters are also visible.
