Champion Jack Dupree, St George's Hall Rehersal Bradford GB.


William Thomas "Champion Jack" Dupree (July 23, 1909[1] or July 4, 1910 – January 21, 1992) was an American blues and boogie-woogie pianist and singer. His nickname was derived from his early career as a boxer. He moved from Chicago and during the 1970s and 1980s he lived at Ovenden in Halifax, England. This picture was taken during rehearsals at Bradford St George's Hall by Garry Clarkson and Dupree died a year later.
