Ukrainian activists take part during a rally of different nationalist parties to mark the 111th anniversary of Stepan Bandera birthday in Bandera was one of the leaders of Ukrainian national movement in occupied Western Ukraine. He was responsible for the proclamation of an Independent Ukrainian State in Lviv on 30 June 1941. Stepan Bandera was one of the founders of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and the Ukrainian Rebel Army, which during the WWII fought against the Soviet and German armies.
