The St. Louis Wholesale Cut Flower Co, has moved into the new quarters, 1406-8 Pine street. The new building contains double the floor space of the old quarters and has an attractive front. The W. A. Rowe Co., of Kirkwood, has started cutting heavily of Smith's Advance and Yellow Smith's Advance chrysanthemums. All other varieties at this establishment are coming along nicely. Grimm & Gorly furnished the big flo- ral decorations at the Planters' hotel for the bankers' banquet and ball. Ac- cording to Frank Gorly, it was the big- gest job of the year in the amount of flowers used. Frank J. Fillmore, who was born in England in 1849, celebrated his seven- tieth birthday October 5 with his fam- ily at his home, 4224 Nebraska avenue. Mr. Fillmore holds the honor of being the oldest active club member and never misses a meeting. The Townsend Floral Co., at Boyle and Olive streets, of which Mr. Paff is the proprietor, has made extensive im- provements, installing fixtures all in white. A.
