This section is valued at five points and refers to thehealth and condition of the specimens. Under this heading,broken plumage and filthy specimens should be severelypunished. Nothing adds so much to the attractiveness of apoultry exhibition as clean exhibits; not only clean coops,bui clean, well-groomed birds as well, and when exhibitorsare careless in this direction they should be punished, anddiscounts under the head of condition is the proper place tomake the cuts. Aside from broken plumage and carelesscooping, defects that would come under this head would beunhealthy specimens, or birds that the exhibitors have care-. 40 — lessly allowed to run in filthy quarters until their legs havebecome scaled over by parasites.
