Angiogram of Embolus in Cerebral Artery

This colorized frontal view from a cerebral angiogram, following selective injection into the left vertebral artery, shows an intraluminal filling defect within the left (on your right) posterior cerebral artery, representing an embolus (blood clot) which had traveled to this site and became lodged. This resulted in a stroke that damaged the part of the brain involved with vision and, thus, in partial blindness.
