The Wood Carving History of Campbell Town in Tasmania, Australia. The first tree depicts a British soldier guarding a convict labourer during the construction of the nearby Red Bridge on the Elizabeth River. The wood carving was carved by Eddie Freeman from a single tree near the Red Bridge. The figures were carved from a single tree by Tasmanian chainsaw artist and sculptor Eddie Freeman using a chainsaw to create these unusual sculptures depicting the history of the town.
