Soon after his mar-riage Abraham .Sager came to Illinois and settledat Belvidere, where the father was in business fora number of years. He also became the proprietorof a large landed estate, upon which he made hishome for six or seven years on account of failinghealth. Dr. Sager is the eldest of the three children com-Ijrising the parental family. There the father improveda splendid estate and lived until his decease, whichwas tlie result of typhoid fever when in middlelife. The home farm is now owned by the eldestson, Charles Dow.
