This image may not be used to state or imply ESA endorsement of any company or product Composite radar satellite image of the Virunga Mountains, a chain of volcanoes which span the borders of Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Six of the volcanoes are dormant, but Mount Nyiragongo and Mount Nyamuragira are two of Africa's most active volcanoes. Images obtained by the Envisat satellite between March 2003 and August 2010.
