Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime’s Puget Sound detachment provides support to multiple aircraft carriers including the Nimitz (pictured) as well as submarines through maintenance availabilities from the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility. Maintenance availability is the preventative and corrective maintenance downtime of equipment to ensure it will operate as it should when needed.
