Plant 5 to 6 meters high, moreor less branched throughout, thebranches nearly erect; ribs 8, ob-tuse; spines many, 25 at an areoleor more, long and slender; wool of the areoles long and white, produced for 1 meter down from the top of the plant; flowers 7 cm. long,smooth, pale pink. Type locality: Venticas del Dagua, : Northwestern Cephalocereus colombiani; 56 the; cactaceae.
