THE BRITISH ARMY IN NORTH AFRICA, SICILY, ITALY, THE BALKANS AND AUSTRIA 1942-1946 - In 1939 Pte. Francois Di Dominico was fighting in France with the 3rd Zouaves 85 Division, Algiers. He was taken prisoner but after two months excaped and fled to Paris. After the fall Of France he was hunted by the Gestapo, but escaped them and walked to Southern France. He crossed into Spain and then on to Morocco. He volunteered for De Gaulle's forces and fought in North Africa. He is now resting from the line and tries his hand at cooking British Army
