The market last week was in about the same condition it has been since Christmas; that is, short on all lines of stock, with prices still high. Roses and carnations were of excellent quality, but not plentiful enough to go around. Sweet peas were in better supply and sold well; they took the place of violets in corsage work and, as they could be had more reasonably than al- most anything else, were used in funeral work and, in fact, in every way. All miscellaneous stock continued scarce. Such stock as Paper Whites, bouvardia and mignonette was exceptionally hard to get.
