Airplane panels with holes for rivets. Airplanes are constructed mainly from the lightweight metal aluminium. Using this metal saves on fuel and also makes airplane construction easier. The panels are joined by rivets, pieces of metal inserted into these holes and hammered into shape to secure the panels in place.
