The church at Sénéchas, a small Cévenol village in the Gard region of the south of France.

Sénénechas is a small Cévenol village with a permanent population of 240 inhabitants. It is set above the Cèze river in the north of the department of Gard in the Languedoc region of France. The church dates to the twelfth century and was originally built by monks. It may occupy a pre-Christian Pagan temple site. The church was enlarged in the sixteenth century. Pilgrimages took place to the church until 1790. The church is dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption. Before the French Revolution it belonged to the Duchy of Uzès. The recent renovation of the church began in 1975. The first restoration was the tower and this was completed in 1978. Work continues to this day.
