Fig- 45- 43—45 I have reproduced the parietal muscles of three specimens from different localities. These figures plainly show the conformity of the three specimens, as do also the figures of the corresponding longitudinal pennons (textfigs. 40—42). The expansion of the parietal nmscles on the column is rather inconsiderable. The ciliated and the intermediate streaks are well-developed, in the proximal part of the lilaments there is a distinct boundary streak. Danielssen states that acontia are present, but that is certainly not so. The species is dioecous. Remarks.
