The word "peace" is written on the transparant panels and cylindrical poles in 49 languages. Slots in the walls allow visitors to place messages, and an internet connection permits electronic messages to be displayed on the panels. The location of the installation, directly opposite Ecole Militaire in Place Joffre, seems to be a political statement in itself.
