A unisex zero-gravity toilet or 'waste management compartment' designed by NASA for use on the US Space Station Freedom. Air flow is used to suck waste into a disposable container where it is dried and compacted to minimise environmental contamination and stowage volume. Foot and thigh restraints are provided to keep the user in position during operation.
