The railway lines are supplied with current from the sta-tion which furnishes the electric power and light for thecity. The station was well designed and built under thesupervision of Wm. Cummins, superintendent of the NewCastle Traction Company. The plan shows the arrange-ment of the machinery in engine and boiler rooms. Thereare two batteries of water tubular boilers, one consisting oftwo 150-h. p. and theotherof two 230-h. p. boilers equippedwith automatic stokers.
