Ancient Greek sarcophagus, 3D laser image. 3-dimensional image generated by a laser scanner of the sarcophagus of an ancient Greek athlete. The scanner produces a precise spatial representation of the object's size and shape and the room that it's in. This artefact dates from around the 6th Century BC and was found in Taranto, which used to be a Greek colony but is now in Southern Italy. Photographed at the National Archaeological Museum of Taranto, Italy, and dates from the 5th Century BC.
