Norfolk, UK. 3rd Aug 2018. UK Weather: Cromer crab fisherman, John Jonas, helms Mary Ann, YH213, into the sunrise. Cromer, Norfolk,England UK

Mary Ann is the last remaining traditional wooden 'double ender' crab boat working from north Norfolk beaches. Built in 1972/73 by the noted builder, Billy May, at Potter Heigham in Norfolk, she has been adapted by her owner, John Jonas, to be worked single-handed, traditional boats of this type having historically be worked by a crew of two. Most crab fisherman have now switched to single-hander fibreglass skiffs, smaller but more efficient, or to bigger catamarans.
