The specimens which I have examined are certainly to be referred to Gbt.'s species in spite of minor differences, in which I most often agree with Sars' description. The head and the first thoracic segment are completely fused except in a single specimen, in which there was indication of a subdivision. The fifth thoracic somite is, as seen in text-fig. 15 a, only indistincth- marked out in front. The ventral protuberance of the genital .somite is less prominent than figured by Giesbrecht, and more prominent than drawn Ijy vSars, and the shape is somewhat different. a d.
