Almadraba fishing. Almadraba is an age-old Andalusian technique of setting nets in a maze that leads to a central pool called 'copo'. This technique is most often used to catch tuna and works because the fish are not able to see the exit from the central pool. The floor of the central pool is then raised (seen here) to bring the fish to the surface, where they are easily caught using smaller nets. Photographed near La Azohia, Murcia, Spain.
