The Church isshewn as fitted up on that occasion : the precise point of time is when the King, after having beencrowned, was seated in his Chair, on the centre of the platform immediately under the great tower,and receiving the homage of the Duke of York, and other Princes of the Blood Royal. The cross-seats forthe Town Boys, or those of the Westminster Scholars who are not on thefoundation, have been removed towards the lower part of the Choir; thewainscotting, on each side, betw een the great columns of the Tower, has beencarried out full two feet, and new seats have been constructed in the vacantspace: the pulpit has been placed near the north-east pier, over the rail-ing of the Presbytery, which
