All are similar in shape, flat, l:)roader than long. The neural arches are low; the neural spines short, non-imbricating, oc- casionally exposing the centra. The cen- trum is invariably opisthocoelous. The at- las is free of appendages. Presacrals two through five have relatively short trans- verse processes; those of presacral six re- semble a more delicate version of the cor- responding processes of Thomciliacns. The transverse processes of presacrals seven and eight are highly diagnostic, differing basic- ally from those of Thoraciliaciis; they are arcuate as contrasted with the triangular ones of the latter, and anteriorly directed. Four pairs of slender ribs are confined to the second, third, fourth, and fifth pre- sacrals, hereafter referred to as ribs 1, 2, 3, 4, the first arising from the transverse proc- esses of the second presacral, etc. (Pis. 8 B, 9 G). The first rib is the smallest, di- rected anterolaterally. The third rib is the longest, followed in length by the second and fourth ribs, differing in this respect from ThoniciUacus, the second rib of which is the longest. The second through fourth ribs are posterolaterally directed, none ever having any contact with the tips of the ilia. The sacrum consists of the ninth opis- thocoelous vertebra, which has expanded diapophyses. The u
