Funeral work is still in abundance. Last week the windows of the florists were gay with St. Patrick's day novel- ties and business was good. The sale of flowering bulbs was enormous, hy- acinths, narcissi and tulips being the leaders. The Worcester County Horticultural Society held its spring show Thursday and Friday, March 9 and 10. It was well attended. The principal premium winners were Lange Bros., Randall's Flower Shop, Charles Potter, West Boylston, and Allen Jenkins, gardener to Mrs. Homer Gage, Iristhorpe, Shrewsbury, Mass. More than $200 was distributed in premiums. At its opening, "A Woman's Shop" had almost 100 big baskets of flowers, which were presented to the employees at the close of the day.
