Charles G. Offerle 2408 Poplar Street l)lilox. He had two large tables deco- rated with dahlias. Among them was a large basket of Mr. Alexander's new ?seedling decorative dahlia, Frank A. Walker, whieh received the award of merit. It is lavender pink and has a long, stiff stem. Other new dahlias were Bianca,. lavender and white blend- ing, of the hybrid cactus type; King of the Autumn, a clear orange decorative, and Mrs. Warnaar, white with pink suf- fusion, of the hybrid cactus type. All three were late importations from Hol- land. Mr. Alexander's new show dahlia, Maude Adams, was shown; it is a blend- ing of pink and white. Kalif, a crim- son-scarlet hybrid cactus, was one of the finest red dahlias in the show. B. Hammond Tracy, Wenham, Mass., had an artistic display of primulinus gladioli. Mr. Tracy's exhibit covered the stage of the hall and was set off by a screen of spruce trees, with spruce boughs effectively laid among the bas- kets. A silver medal was awarded the dis- play of gladioli grown by W. N. Craig and exhibited for the originator, A. E. Kunderd, of Goshen, Ind. Marie Kun- derd, a ])ure white ruffled seedling, was awarded a certificate of merit, as were Flowers The Best at the Lowest. ••I Serve" Member F. T. D.
