There are several kinds of pipe cutters on themarket, made with one or more cutting wheels held in a frame. Allmakes of cutters are operated in practically the same way, by forcingthe cutting wheels into the pipe by mean, of a screw handle. (>ne- andthree-wheel cutters arc shown in Figs. 60 and 61. The several Forms of dies and stocks on the market may be divided intotwo classes—the .solid die andthe adjustable die. The soliddie is shown in Fig. G2, and isused for cutting both right-hand and left-hand stock in which solid diesare wsvA is shown in Fig. dies and stocks areshown in Figs. 64 and dies may be adjusted tocut a deep or a shallow is necessary at times to cutsuch threads, as the fittingsmade by different manufac-turers are not always tappedalike.
