One each of the 3 sorts for $ Bougainvillea Crimson Lake. Introduced through the Bureau of Plant Industry of the Department of Agriculture. The flowers are like all other Bougainvilleas, perhaps a trifle larger, but in coloring none compare with it in richness and brilliancy. On first opening a brilliant crimson-lake, retaining this color for three or four weeks, after which they gradually pass to a crimson-carmine. In Southern California and Florida, the Bougainvilleas make gorgeous climbers for outdoor planting, while in the north they are useful subjects as pot plants for the conservatory or green- house.
