It is beautifully located, in a denselj woodedlegion, the shores to the waters edge being fringed withheavy timber overhanging the water, with the exceptionof a few rods near the foot of the pond, opposite theHathan Bog, which were included in the fire. It isthe largest body of water up in the Gore, being over amile long and half a mile wide. It is almost round inshape, containing a very pretty island in its center.
