Count Von Bernstorff, Ambassador From Germany - 2nd From Right At Horse Show with The Countess, 1911. Johann Heinrich von Bernstorff was German ambassador to the United States from 1908 to 1917. He left the US on 3 February 1917, after President Woodrow Wilson severed diplomatic relations with Germany. He married Jeanne (Johanna) Luckemeyer in 1887.
