The triangular space below the platform is excavated to 9 feet (below the platform). On top at the pump a barrel is placed, serving the purpose of a reservoir whence a shute leads the water into a trough outside the dam, To the right are seen a water cask and barrel, placed on top of one another. These contain the injection water, which it was found necessary to keep clear from mud and weeds. The picture shows the enclosure drained to about 3 feet below the surface of the water
