MELBOURNE Australia 4/11/2015 Protest by FFAD at Ministry of Immigration and border protection this afternoon against detention of assylum seekers and sexual violence. Media has been silenced. Parents with around 50 pushchairs with babies on board attended the immigration offices in MElbourne CBD Spring Street and sat in front of the lifts chanting stop detention on NARU Island. Police were called and the protesting mothers and fathers with babies were escorted off the premises to continue the protest in front of the building. The building was closed for over one hour.
