Diplodocus dinosaur, fossil skeleton. Replica skeleton of Diplodocus carnegiei, on display in the Central Hall of the Natural History Museum, London, UK. Presented to the museum in 1905 by Andrew Carnegie, it is 26 metres long and is a replica of a fossil skeleton held at the Carnegie Museum, USA. Diplodocus was a sauropod dinosaur that lived 154 to 150 million years ago, during the Jurassic.
