Czech President Milos Zeman and six other representatives of the state, church and the City of Prague attend the officially ceremony of the unlocking of the Crown Chamber in St Vitus Cathedral in the Prague Castle, where the Czech Crown Jewels are permanently kept. The Crown Jewels are displayed to the public only once every five years. According to the ancient tradition, the Crown Jewels are exhibited only to mark special occasion ant the exhibitions can take place only at the Prague Castle. The President of the Czech Republic has the exclusive right to decide on the display of the Crown Jewels. This year’s exhibition is dedicated to the election of the new president of the Czech Republic as well as to the 20th anniversary formation of the Czech Republic. People could see the medieval Crown of Saint Wenceslas, the Royal Apple and Sceptre, the Coronation Cloak as well as the Coronation Cross and the Coronation Sword of Saint Wenceslas just for ten days, from May 10 to 19, 2013.
